I have had thinking about someone of my family to talk in this topic. Is a little difficult because actually  don´t feel that I have a special connection with someone of them, but if I had to choose someone to talk about this, would be my cousin Karina.
Karina is 12 years old, she is in a discommoding situation for her age because its parents are separated, so Monday to Friday she lives with her mom, old brother and grandmother , and weekends she stay with her dad in Cerrillos. As she is just a child, studies at elementary school in 7th grade: at school, she recognizes that is a regular student because she doesn’t like some signatures as language and history.
The truth is that I don´t had a strong relationship with them when I was child, but when my uncle and Karina start to have problems, I saw them with more frequency. Even, in holydays (since…..2009) we go with them to my dad house or when my dad comes to Santiago, my mom invites them to my house; so, I can say that I see her generally…….often 2 times a month.
I can say with Karina, is who I have a better relationship between all my cousins, because physically….we are like sisters to see her face and psychologically,  we had quiet persons and we had similar things that we like in videogames and music. But that really identify us is that we lives similar process in our life.

A Favorite Beach!

First of all, I must say that my favorite place to rest is the beach. For me, see the waves of the sea, sit in the sand and breath the coastal air makes me relax so much, especially in holidays or in a long weekend.

In a holidays of 2007 (I guess), I saw in a map that there was a beach that we didn´t know called Laguna Verde, that is a little town located not too far to south of Valparaiso; I told it to my mom and we decided to go for now it because we like to be adventurer in holidays in the sense to know other places. You can two options to arrive to Laguna Verde: in a local bus that pass often 20 minutes, or in a car, we took the first option because we haven´t a car (if we have had it, we didn’t know the way for arrive to the beach).

This beach is located in a rural area, you see around hills, many trees, and little houses; also, is a very long beach. When my mom, my brother and I arrived there, was something very amazing; we sit on the sand, we ate snacks, we played to throw a tennis ball and we listened our music.

I like too much this place because is one of the low beaches that don´t full of people on summer, the ambient is so quiet and you can see clearly the start on night. It just 2 defects: the sea is such cold that if you wet your feet…….you frozen! , and for people that can arrive only by bus, you must to go out of the beach very early because the last bus pass at 8:30 pm.  Anyways, is a place that worth to know.

A special present....

The present which I´m going to talk isn´t a material present. I don´t know, but for some reason I was obsessed with the idea to go to Algarrobo; I think that always remember my only time when I went to that place when I was 2 or 3 years old and after of these trip, I started to going to Viña del Mar for holidays because my dad´s family lives here there, so when I travel with my family, we know that we have a secure place where we stay on holidays.

Since that childhood travel to Algarrobo, I didn´t come back to it, maybe for low money or low time, but recently this year in the first days of August, finally I came back to Algarrobo. My parents gave me this especial present because my successfully last semester, but just my mom companies me to travel.

We get down when the bus passed for El Quisco (commune very close to Algarrobo) because in that place we found a place where we stayed all the weekend. When we went to Algarrobo (in a local bus) I tried to recognize some places, for example, El Canelo beach (I really loved that place), the yachting club and its little downtown.

I really appreciate that present because my wish to come back to Algarrobo came true, and also we had such good time in our stay on El Quisco, especially the night walking around El Canelo little forest for changing airs of Viña.

Open Blondie Halloween Party 2011

The last memorable party for me was the Open Blondie Halloween party of the last year that is a costume party that was carried out in Club Hípico.

I remember that was a long weekend at the end of October, where I passed some days in the house of my dad in Viña and the 31th day I came back alone to Santiago while my mom, my uncle and my cousin stayed one day more in Viña. When I arrived to my house, my friend was waiting for me, so we entered to my house, we dressed up (she went of zombie cheerleader and I went only with black clothes) and we went in bus dressed up. First, we met with some friends (we´re just  5 persons) in Plaza de Maipú and we took together the bus toward Club Hipico already to midnight, the curious thing was that in the bus there are many people dressed up, with some beautiful costumes……the great majority we went to Open Blondie.

When we arrived it, we try to went around the different music ambient …….it was so hard because all these ambient were full, but when finally found a good ambient, we started to dance, sing, jump….we had a very good time, but I (at least)  can´t drank  because beers were so expensive. Anyways, I really enjoyed these party because it was the first officially Halloween party that I had been after to many years to trick or trit.

HAPPY 18TH SEPTEMBER!

When I celebrate Fiestas Patrias I liked to go out to fondas, especially in Parque O´Higgings , eat empanadas, dance cuecas or cumbias, but I haven´t back in long time because they are very expensive!!  So, now I prefer go to folkloric parties that organizes my commune (Maipú) because these have more variety of show, drinks and food are cheaper (the entry cost only $1000!) and you have a very good time anyways.
Last year I went to Fiestas Patrias show in Maipú in the Municipal Pool, which is a bigger compound. I went with my mom, my mom´s partner and a friend of me. When we were inside of the pool, we walked for the stands of drinks, food, crafts and typical games (we didn´t participate in neither of them). Then, we went to principal stage and we saw some contest and many folkloric groups showing typical dances of the different zones of Chile, and typical dances of Latin-American countries, that was a very beautiful show.
After a while, I and my friend went to buy Terremotos and fried chips, we started to talk stupid things, laughing between us. Then, we returned to where my mom and her partner and we started to dance some cuecas and cumbias (very fun).
I really enjoyed these Fiestas Patrias  show because was different to what had celebrate, I loved the folk groups and I share these experience with people which isn´t very close to my family and I had better than ever.

A concert that I would like to go!!

To begin this blog, I must to say that I have never gone to a big concert, only I have been in little shows of my commune (I know, my life is so sad); so, in this topic I´m going to talk about  a concert that I would like to go.

Well, one of my favorites band is Coldplay, I like their songs and the Chis Martin´s voice; definitely I would like to listen them in live if I had enough money and call one to my friends to accompany me, I wouldn´t doubt to go.

I would like to see them  play in a concert on tour for Sudamerica or as special guest of a music festival, for example, Lollapalloza, one of the biggest music festivals in the world; for that occasion I would go with one of my best friends and invite to friends of my friend for enjoy the concert all together.

I can imagine so many things that I would enjoy in that concert, as the sounds of the music instruments, the Chis Martin´s voice in live and sing their songs with the multitude. How people say “there´s always a first time”…… I´m still waiting.

80´s music: my favorite style!

If I had to choose a period that I would like to had been born, no doubt to say the 80’s years. That decade was revolutionary in many senses, highlighting the new tendencies in fashion and music, and for me, the best thing of 80´s was the music. I must to thank to my dad because he loves this music and he passed this taste on me when I was a little girl.

Of the 80’s music, I like all their types, but the music that I listen with more frequency is the 80´s pop. The singers and musical groups that belong to this category are Rick Astley, Duran Duran, A-ha, Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode and my favorite 80´s group, U2. But I don´t forget of 80´s rock groups as Queen, Kiss, Europe, Bon Jovi and many others that I wouldn´t reach to name because the little space of this blog.

I feel so lucky to have inherited this fascination for this music, because, to being honest, the actual music is a crap, I mean, the quality of sounds and the letters of songs are very poor. For this reason, my love for the 80´s music is so strong.
